Weapon Expertise
Using different weapon types increases your Expertise with each one, unlocking increasingly powerful bonuses up to Rank 10. Each weapon type offers its own strengths, allowing certain builds to benefit more from specific weapons and Expertise effects. Hover over the weapon types below to explore their Rank 10 Power and Additional Bonus.
One-Handed Axe ExpertiseRank 10 Power
Increased Critical Strike Chance (+10%) against injured enemies. Double this amount when using two axes.
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes have up to a 55% chance to grant +0.6% increased Attack Speed for 2 seconds. Double the Attack Speed bonus when using two axes.
One-Handed Mace ExpertiseRank 10 Power
Increased damage to Stunned enemies (x10%). Double this amount when using two maces.
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
Lucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to gain Berserking for 1.5 seconds when you hit a Stunned enemy. Double this chance when using two maces.
One-Handed Sword ExpertiseRank 10 Power
Lucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to gain 5 Fury when hitting a Crowd Controlled enemy. Double this chance when using two swords.
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
Killing a Crowd Controlled enemy grants +15% increased Attack Speed for 3 seconds. Double this amount for kills while using two swords.
Two-Handed Axe ExpertiseRank 10 Power
Increased damage to Vulnerable enemies (x10%).
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
Increased Critical Strike Chance against Vulnerable enemies (+5%).
Two-Handed Mace ExpertiseRank 10 Power
Lucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to gain 5 Fury when hitting an enemy. Double the amount of Fury gained while Berserking.
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
You deal x15% increased Critical Strike damage while Berserking.
Two-Handed Sword ExpertiseRank 10 Power
20% of direct damage you deal is inflicted as Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
You deal x30% increased Bleeding damage for 5 seconds after killing an enemy.
PolearmExpertise
Rank 10 Power
Increased Lucky Hit Chance (x15%).
Rank 10 Additional Bonuses
You deal +15% damage while healthy.
Weapon Technique
Barbarians can also place one Weapon Expertise into the Technique Slot. This allows the selected Expertise bonuses to remain active regardless of which weapon is currently being used. The optimal Technique depends on the build. Look for the Technique icon on each build above to see which Weapon Expertise is used.
