This policy explains what information Cliptis.com collects when you visit, how it's used, and the choices you have. The site is run by Cliptis, a content creator based in Hawaii, USA.

The Short Version

  • You can use the whole site without an account and without giving your name or email
  • Google Analytics and Squarespace's own statistics show how many people visit and which pages they use
  • If you use the contact form, your message goes to Cliptis so he can reply
  • Nothing is sold, and the site doesn't show ads

Information the Site Collects

Information You Send

If you use the contact form on the About page or email Cliptis, he receives what you send: usually your name, your email address, and your message.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, when you visit, your browser shares standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that sent you here, and a rough location based on your IP address. Squarespace (the site's host) and Google Analytics collect this to produce visitor statistics.

Settings Stored in Your Browser

The site remembers a few display settings in your own browser, such as whether the game menu is collapsed and whether Cliptis is live on Twitch. They stay on your device, aren't linked to who you are, and clear when you close the tab or clear your browser data.

How the Information is Used

  • To run the site and keep it secure
  • To see which pages are useful, and improve them
  • To reply to your messages
  • To meet legal obligations and protect the site's rights

Your information isn't sold, rented, or traded, and it isn't used to show you ads.

Cookies and Analytics

Squarespace uses cookies that the site needs to work, plus cookies for visitor statistics. Google Analytics also uses cookies to count visits and see how pages are used. These statistics are looked at as totals, not to follow individual people.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site still works without them.

Because there is no agreed standard for “Do Not Track” signals, the site does not respond to them. Use the options above instead.

Services that Receive Information

A few outside services help run the site. When you visit, your browser connects to them directly, so they receive your IP address and standard browser information:

  • Squarespace hosts the site and handles the contact form (Squarespace privacy policy)
  • Google Analytics provides visitor statistics, and Google Fonts supplies the site's fonts (Google privacy policy)
  • YouTube supplies the video thumbnails. Watching a video on YouTube is covered by Google's privacy policy
  • DecAPI (decapi.me) checks whether Cliptis is live on Twitch for the bar at the top of the site
  • Fourthwall runs the merch store. Orders, payments, and shipping details go to Fourthwall, not to Cliptis.com, and Fourthwall's own privacy policy applies

The site also links to Twitch, YouTube, Discord, X, TikTok, Instagram, and Mobalytics. Once you leave Cliptis.com, those sites' own policies apply.

How Long Information is Kept

Messages you send are kept as long as needed to reply and keep a reasonable record, then deleted. Visitor statistics are kept for the period set in Squarespace and Google Analytics, after which they're deleted automatically.

Your Choices and Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you've sent. Email Cliptis@viralcollab.com and you'll get a reply within 30 days.

If you're in the European Union, the UK, or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to or restrict how your information is used, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Your information is handled on these grounds: the site's legitimate interest in running and improving itself, your request when you contact Cliptis, and your consent where the law requires it for cookies.

If you're in California or another US state with a privacy law, the site doesn't sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and it doesn't use your information for targeted advertising.

Visitors Outside the United States

The site is run from the United States, and its service providers may process information in the US and other countries. By using the site, you understand your information may be handled outside your home country.

Children

The site isn't aimed at children under 13 (under 16 in the European Union), and it doesn't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent information through the site, email Cliptis@viralcollab.com and it will be deleted.

Security

The site relies on Squarespace, Google, and its other providers to protect information with industry-standard security. No website can promise perfect security, but reasonable care is taken.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too. Big changes will be pointed out on this page.
